Robyn Parton, Soprano

Robyn Allegra Parton read music at Worcester College, Oxford University, before studying at the Royal College of Music, and Wales International Academy of Voice, and on English National Opera's Opera Works course and the Monteverdi Choir Apprenticeship Scheme.

Her operatic appearances include Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro and Peg in Rogers/O'Reilly The Virtues of Things (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden), Agnes in Bruce/Maxwell Nothing (Glyndebourne Festival Opera), Mercedes in Carmen (Opera-Comique de Paris), Ensemble and Soloist in Monteverdi L'Orfeo (Bayerische Staatsoper), and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme).

In 2016, Robyn made her debut at the Istanbul Music Festival as Narrator in Ellison The Sea-Crossed Fisherman, as Morgana in Handel Alcina for Ryedale Festival Opera, and with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra at the Edinburgh International Festival in Schumann Manfred. She is currently performing in Peter Schaffer Amadeus at the National Theatre. At the 2016 Cesti International Voice Competition Robyn was awarded a role in Keiser Octavia for the 'Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik'. She was a finalist in the 2012 Kathleen Ferrier Awards, is the recipient of the Helen Clarke Award (Garsington Opera) and the Oxford Lieder Festival Prize, and was a semifinalist in Berlin's 'Das Lied ' competition. She has performed with orchestras including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the London Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchester, and appears regularly in recital.
