Nick Pritchard, Tenor

Born in West Sussex, England, Nick Pritchard sang in the choir of New College, Oxford, and studied singing at The Royal College of Music International Opera School, London.

Concert appearances include King Arthur with Christian Curnyn, Wigmore Hall, Mass in B minor with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the Monteverdi Choir on European tour (and recorded), Messiah with Brian Kay, Royal Albert Hall and with the Nieuwe Philharmonie in Utrecht, Bach Cantatas for Ensemble Pygmalion and Raphael Pichon, the Bach Magnificat with Laurence Cummings and The English Concert, and Vaughan-Williams On Wenlock Edge for BBC Radio 3.

Recent opera roles include Aquilio in J.C. Bach Adriano in Siria (Classical Opera Company), Prologue The Turn of the Screw for Opera Holland Park, and Telemaco The Return of Ulysses for Iford Arts. Nick's future plans include roles in La Calisto and The Return of Ulysses for English Touring Opera, Matthew Pleasure (Mark Simpson) for Opera North, Ruggiero in Caccini La Liberazione di Ruggierio (Brighton Early Music Festival), the premiere of Through these pale cold days (Venables), and the St Matthew Passion for St Paul’s Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota with Paul McCreesh.
