Abbi Temple, Soprano

Abbi studied at Royal Holloway (University of London) and Trinity College of Music and now enjoys a varied freelance career, combining opera, oratorio, choral, and recital singing.

Equally at home on stage or on the concert platform, Abbi's recent opera roles include Atalanta Handel Xerxes for Longborough Festival Opera, and Vixen Janacek The Cunning Little Vixen for Co-Opera Co. Other roles have included Susanna and Barbarina Le Nozze di Figaro, Despina Così fan Tutte, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Musette La Boheme and Lauretta Gianni Schicchi.

Abbi is a member of Chamber Choir Ireland, a professional choir based in Dublin, with a busy schedule of concerts and recordings under the musical direction of Paul Hillier. She also sings with the 5-voice ensemble Papagena, a group that explores the wealth of music written specifically for women’s voices, from the 11th century to the present day. Abbi has also worked with various other UK and European Ensembles, such as The Gabrieli Consort, Ars Nova Copenhagen, Theatre of Voices, and The English Concert.
